Party along the route

The 4Days Marches route goes through various municipalities in the Nijmegen region. Every transit municipality puts a lot of time and energy into making the walkers' passage festive and musical.

Municipality of Overbetuwe

On the first day of walking we celebrate 'Blue Tuesday' in the municipality of Overbetuwe. The Tuesday of the 4Days Marches runs through the Betuwe. You walk along the famous dike between Lent and Oosterhout, past green orchards and through beautiful villages. In our municipality, the balloons, flags, banners and partying spectators turn everything blue. A nod to the two mighty rivers Waal and Rhine.

Municipality of Lingewaard

On Tuesday, the walkers will be greeted in a festive manner by the municipality of Lingewaard. Orchestras and DJs provide a lot of fun in both Huissen and Bemmel. The route is beautifully marked with flags under the motto: 'Lingewaard blooms!'. The public will also certainly welcome the walking legion enthusiastically. The mayor personally welcomes the walkers from the lawn in front of De Kinkelenburg Castle.

Municipality of Wijchen

Wednesday is traditionally the Day of Wijchen and the surrounding area. The municipal council of Wijchen receives thousands of runners every year with a packed program. Music in Alverna, Balgoij, Niftrik, Wijchen Centrum and Woezik, each in their own hospitable way and with equal enthusiasm. Cheerful sounds make this second day of walking through the municipality of Wijchen a pleasant event. Many people along the route enthusiastically encourage the runners. Municipality of Beuningen

On the second day of the 4Days Marches you pass through Beuningen and Weurt. To further encourage the walkers, the municipality of Beuningen and its residents organize all kinds of activities. A DJ welcomes walkers at the municipal border with a DJ on a large stage. The enthusiastic audience, musicians, bands and even a samba band create a pleasant atmosphere along the entire route from Beuningen to Weurt. Municipality of Gennep

On Thursday the 4Days Marches will pass through the municipality of Gennep. Both the 40 and 50 kilometer walk through Milsbeek. The 50 kilometer also visit the center of Gennep and Ottersum via the Genneperhuispad. Everything has been organized both in the centers and in the center of Gennep. This way, Genneps walkers can send postcards to friends and family from the 'post office' in Milsbeek. In addition, residents, entrepreneurs, associations and the municipality provide decorations, music and activities along the route. A delegation from the Municipal Executive is also present. Municipality of Heumen

The legion will march through Malden early on Thursday. The route is cheerfully decorated and RTV Gelderland provides live reports and swinging music. On Fridays the soldiers march through Nederasselt, the other walkers through the pleasant Overasselt. Just before Heumen, the 30km participants will head towards Malden via Dorpsstraat and Boterdijk. The rest is still about Cuijk. There is a big party in Malden, the last stage before the Via Gladiola. Municipality of Berg en Dal

The Thursday of the 4Days Marches is traditionally known as Groesbeek Day. The third day is a Queen's stage that takes the runners over the famous Zevenheuvelenweg. During this day, the walker is spoiled with all the natural beauty that the municipality of Berg en Dal has to offer: beautiful wooded hills, green valleys and a surprising view of the unique Ooijpolder from various points. Municipality of Mook en Middelaar

The 4Days marches takes place on both Thursday and Friday through the municipality of Mook and Middelaar. There will be numerous festivities on Thursday and Friday, such as the test closure of the pontoon bridge over the Maas on Thursday evening. During the walkers' passage there will be a 4Days Marches terrace and music on the Raadhuisplein in Mook and Muldershofplein in Plasmolen.

Municipality of Land van Cuijk

New initiators for the party in Cuijk have started organizing it. Centrummanagement Cuijk has joined forces with the Cuijk Horeca Collective and the municipality of Land van Cuijk to put together a program.
