The 4Daagse Foundation and the tourist region of Kitzbüheler Alpen St. Johann in Tirol are excited to announce a three-year partnership, which will kick off during the 107th edition of the 4Daagse in 2025. This collaboration connects the four-day walking event with one of Europe’s most beautiful hiking regions, aimed at inspiring walkers with nature and adventure.

The Kitzbüheler Alpen St. Johann in Tirol region includes the picturesque villages of St. Johann in Tirol, Oberndorf, Kirchdorf, and Erpfendorf. In the summer, the area opens up a breathtaking mountain world between the Kitzbüheler Horn and the Wilder Kaiser. It is the perfect destination for hiking, cycling, and relaxation. In winter, the region is a popular destination with snow-sure slopes, modern lifts, cross-country ski trails, and rustic ski huts offering homemade Tyrolean specialties.

Added Value for Walkers

Mark Prinsen, Manager of Sponsorship & Partnerships at the 4Daagse Foundation: “The 4Daagse is excited about this long-term partnership. As the world’s largest walking event, we are always seeking partnerships that add value to the experience of our walkers and align with the 4Daagse's goals. With excellent hiking and walking opportunities in the Kitzbüheler Alpen St. Johann in Tirol region, we see a perfect match with our target audience.”

Martina Foidl, Managing Director of the St. Johann in Tirol Tourism Association, adds: “The 4Daagse is an event with unique appeal that reaches far beyond the Netherlands. Every year, more than 45,000 participants from over 70 countries come together to walk. The joy of moving in nature is what most connects the 4Daagse with our tourist region of St. Johann in Tirol. For us, this partnership is an excellent opportunity to introduce our region, with its wealth of hiking opportunities, to an outdoor-oriented audience. We look forward to this collaboration.”

Through this partnership, the 4Daagse is not only a goal but perhaps also a starting point for discovering new hiking adventures in Europe.
